Want to know your options?
Alrighty then…..
let’s find out how to really make money writing reviews.
First up there are a couple of pieces of terminology that you are going to have to understand otherwise I’ll lose you;
Adsense: These are adverts that are placed on your site or in your blog by a search engine – usually Google. Every time that a visitor to your site clicks on one of these ads you get paid a very small percentage – and I mean small ….. as in single figure cents. This is what adsense looks like on your screen – you may recognize it. Most banner advertising is also done with adsense.

Pay per view: Some article sites will pay you by the number of people that view your review or article.
Traffic: The number of people that view your page, site or blog.
Clear as mud? Righto, let’s get into the nitty gritty stuff.
How do we make money writing reviews?
Well, in the US there are a few sites that will pay you to write reviews for them.
Article sites like Helium.com and AssociatedContent.com will pay US citizens for your good quality articles on any topic.
Now before you get too excited…. payment for any of these is usually in the vicinity of $2-3 per submission. Associated Content and Reviewstream will also pay you a bonus per view but it is not huge – Associated Content’s performance bonus is $1.50 per 1000 views. That means that you will have to generate a lot of traffic to your review to make any real money from it.
Revud.info – will pay you a percentage of the adsense revenue that comes via your article and you can also use your article to link back to your own blog, website or affiliate program.
Blogging – another way to make money writing reviews is to start up your own blog. There are three ways to make money writing reviews here;
1) Allow adsense on your blog. Each time that someone clicks on one of the ads on your page you will get paid a certain percentage.
2) Sponsored reviews – If you have a blog that is old enough and getting good traffic then there are programs that will ‘sponsor’ you to write about their product.
3) Become an affiliate of the product that you are reviewing – this is our favorite simply because there is the power to earn far more residual income from your article. To us this makes far more sense than just by getting paid once for your writing or a pittance for every ad click or article view.
When you write your review as an affiliate you include links to the merchants sales page. Like this ….. Go to Affilorama To Learn More.
Whenever anyone clicks on your link, goes to the sales page and buys the product from the merchant you get a percentage of the profit. Now some affiliate programs like Amazon.com pay 5% and others like Clickbank can pay 75% or more – but you will have to decide whether you can realistically make money writing reviews for physical products or information products.

I’ve been wondering for a while if this is a viable way to make some extra cash writing plus I thought it would give me some practice. Writing reviews is essential for affiliate marketing and it’s a skill that I could use some work in.
