If you are like most people starting out with article marketing then you really need a plan to work to.
But there are just so many out there, which one do you choose? Here are a couple of pure article marketing strategies for every budget.
Free Article Marketing Strategies;
1 – Write
- make your article between 500-1000 words. The length depends entirely on your topic and the amount of detail in the information that you are writing about.
- make sure that you use your keyword phrase once or twice for every 100 words.
- use short paragraphs and bullet points for easy reading.
2 – Spin
Content is still king, so even though we say spin, we actually mean re-write while keeping the quality.
- take this article and rewrite it so that it is between 400-600 words,
- re write every sentence three times,
- make sure you change the length of the sentences and paragraphs too, so instead of just changing ‘the birds flew overhead’ to ‘we saw the sparrows fly over’ your next rewrite makes the sentence longer, say something like ‘the silence was broken by a flock of Sparrows chattering their way back into their homes’
- Do the same with your paragraphs – vary the length and content.
Now this really is a bucket-load of work so the best piece of advice that I can give you is to invest in an article spinner. This piece of software will speed up the process no end and make re-writing your articles a breeze.

Do not get or use a 100% automated spinner, they turn out articles that are so crappy that they are virtually unreadable and no-one will accept them. Get one that you have to manually re-write your sentences, that way you will know that the quality of your work will be good.
There are also article submission services that include a spinner and they are listed below, but remember, if you cancel our membership, you lose the spinner as well.
3 – Compare – if you want to be extra certain, submit your two articles to an article compare tool. There should be at least 30% difference – Some say 50% difference, I try to get at least 75%
If you don’t want to spin your article, you can re-write it completely for each submission.
4 – Submit – it to an article directory like Ezinearticles.com, wait for it to get approved and then submit other versions of your article to every other article directory that you can get your hands on – there are loads of them, so be prepared to submit to at least 30 sites.
5 – Re-write – your article completely and build your own Web 2.0 sites. These are sites like Squidoo.com, Hubpages.com, Zimbio.com, Wetpaint.com. Basically these are your very own cool webpage, but they do have some conditions for use attached.
6 – Rinse and Repeat for your next set of keywords.

1 – Write – Same as the above
2 – Rewrite your article and submit it to EzineArticles.com.
Once it is live on EzineArticles
3a – Spin and Submit through a reputable automated service. Without going into too much detail, they will submit your article to hundreds of sites for you.

3b – Also grab a spun version of each article and submit to the top article directories and 2.0 sites like:
- GoArticles.com,
- ArticleCity.com,
- ArticleAlly.com,
- Articledashboard.com
- Squidoo.com
- Hubpages.com
- Zimbio.com and other Web 2.0 sites.
FreeTrafficSystem.com is a service that will let you submit your spun article to 30 blogs for free or the Pro version gives you access to 50 blogs.
Article Marketing Strategies – $100+ per month
This article marketing strategy involves outsourcing most or all of the work.
Go to eLance.com, oDesk.com or have a hunt around a few forums and you will find people that will write, spin and submit your articles for you.
Now this does come with a hefty price tag – around $10-15 per article just for writing and about the same for spinning so be warned.

The Big Picture for Article Marketing Strategies
Whether you have no budget or an unlimited budget, the best advice that we can give you is to just keep doing something.
If you have no budget then;
- follow the free version
- make a sale or two
- buy a spinner
- make consistent sales, invest in an automated service or two
- as your income increases, increase the amount that you outsource. This will free up your time to do everything else that you need to do and speed the whole process up for you.
